Good unit. Handset sound level is good. Works with 2.5 headsets. The display is not back lit nor tilt able so placement is important.
The sound is only so-so and the answering machine has never been very clear. I'm back on Amazon shopping for a new phone/answering machine and when I saw this listing I decided to a write a quick review. A few months ago it stopped playing any outgoing message but the prerecorded default. I've had this phone for a year or so. It is not nearly as good as other panasonic phones I've owned in the past. Now it bounces an echo back at anyone trying to leave a message. It is headed for the trash.
I can always count on Panasonic to make a great product andlive by their warrantee.Don't hesitate to purchase this phone.I'm glad I didn't.
I don't use it in Speaker phone mode a lot, but from the few times I did, it worked well.Two minor issues that I can grin and bear with. I work from home a lot and when I do, I am on voice conferences a lot with people from 3-4 timezones, that too for hours at a stretch. This telephone was the best priced product I could find online. The Caller Id, 3 Speed Dial buttons and phone book built into the unit are useful too. I actually end up disconnecting the headset and then hanging up to make sure I am completely off the call.All in all, I have found this a great value and just what I needed for my situation. I have been using this for a couple of months now and have not had any problems.
When you have to delete over 10 numbers, that can be a little annoying. I needed a corded telephone that would not die on me during the call for want of a charge (like most cell phones or cordless telephones). When deleting older numbers from the Caller Id memory, it takes sometime (3-4 seconds) to delete each entry. I use the KX-TCA60 headset with this phone that allows me to use both hands on my computer at the same time. I have not heard anyone complain of a feedback during the calls or that they could not hear me well. The other one was that when you have the headset on and you hang up, it seems to come back on after a few seconds.
This is a great phone, good audio, in and out, phone book works well, headset jack works well. A lighted window would be nice.
